Cryobiomed participated in the 1st International Longevity and Cryopreservation Summit in CSIC

Spain hosted the first International Longevity and Cryopreservation Summit during May 26-28, 2017. Fundacion VidaPlus was the main organizer of this world congress, with the help of other leading associations and organizations working on longevity, indefinite lifespans, cryopreservation, and other biomedical areas. So, the congress had various purposes, among others:

  • To give Madrid and Spain a role as a benchmark in this field. Thanks to the CSIC (Higher Council for Scientific Research), one of the most prestigious scientific institutions in Europe, we want to promote our most renowned scientists worldwide in the field of Longevity (María Blasco, Juan Carlos Izpisúa, Javier Cabo …) that, if possible, join Ramón y Cajal and Severo Ochoa as Nobel Laureates in Medicine. Madrid is the longest-lived world region, Spain is already a leader in organ donation worldwide, and according to The Lancet has one of the best health systems in the world.

  • Generate and invigorate the research and business ecosystem in the field of Longevity. Spain has some companies dedicated to this field with an international quality and we are proud that many of them accompanied us as partners and sponsors in the congress: LifeLenght in the measurement of Telomeres, TellMeGen with genetic sequencing, FitnessRevolutionary with global health education or NeoLife as a model of preventive and proactive medicine.
